Does warm introduction work?

  1. I have been approached one startup, they promised me that they are going to introduce me to the decision maker in return with $500 (Which they are charging). Does it work, as they claimed that they have vetted the profiles of the person who is going to extend a warm introduction to VP Engineering.
  2. Do you guyz know any company, marketplace which charges for such services.

Is it a warm intro or are you paying someone?
In my mind a warm intro comes from a connection, not a service

Yup, paying for an intro looks like a red flag.. I wouldn`t "invest" money OR time in anything like this..

Thanks, what they will do is like, they have bunch of people in their network, they pay some amount to them, take 20% commission and that person will introduce me to the person/decision maker who is in his network or they are colleagues or they know each other. If they are able to set up call with me for my SaaS demo, I will pay them else nothing.

Are you high?!?
I can intro you to many decision makers if youโ€™re paying $500 each. Just canโ€™t promise they want to buy anything or have a budget or any intention of doing more than saying hi to you.
You realize a $500 intro is nuts ya? Unless they have a project or somewhat of a need for your product, you are nuts.

I once paid a guy for some warm market leads and he sent me the sample page from Zoominfo. So i'm sure there will be an introduction in the same way I am sure marketers are real employees and not a poorly coded algorithm.

No no, they are real employees as their vetting procedures are stringent

You sound determined to do it, even though everyone here is telling you it sounds as though it's not worth the value.

This is weirdly greasy, and is it not a violation of their code of conduct if not yours?
