This was a CLUSTER of a deal. Long story short, our product team and our partners product teams were far behind the timeline they should have been (…classic) and we had to sell without a real product. No demo options, no current clients, no documentation… nada! There were some days that I felt slimy even moving forward with this, but it goes to show that being an honest salesperson in communicating the current state as well as having a kickass solution can go a long way.
