@TennisandSales the path for sales is pretty much defined almost globally. BDR/ISR - AE/KAE - Team Leader - depending on company size, VP.

So in this case, what I meant was promotion to the next available cadre which naturally would be team leader and ultimately VP.

Destroy quota to the point where people go ‘WTF IS THIS PERSON DOING THAT WE ARE NOT WE NEED TO LEARN FROM HIM’ then easily teach that process, replicate it in others who arent there yet, then demand the role and take it because you are clearly the best fit and have results that you can further replicate

That really depends on what someone is looking for. MANY AEs do not want to be in leadership/management, and many more are unsuited to it.

Could be a move to ENT AE, Sr AE.. There was a post recently how someone was moving up to AM from AE, because that was growth in their organization.

It's not as cut and dry as you make it.

If they want to remain an IC, it's all results.

Prove to others that you are capable and ready. A lot of times this means that you are bringing the best opps to the table, have the best discovery, and your opps have the highest close rates amongst the sdr org
