Favorite day/time to cold call?

I'm trying to mix up when I'm making dials more to improve connect rates and thought it would be good to see when others have found the most success getting connects on the phone. What is the best day/time to call in your opinion?

No such thing in my opinion. I make cold dials after meetings. That way I dial strangers every day and the momentum carries me through the mud.

So question for you about how you work: Do you work best with a consistent daily schedule, or do you work best when you mix it up? If you find mixing it up works well for you, then why not put your call blocks at different times to see how you do at those times. You can run your own personal A/B test to see where everything works best.

Echoing everyone else here - It's such a crap shoot, that you just have to go for it at all times throughout the day.

Think about your own calendar. Mine looks different every day, with meetings taking place at different times. Everyone's calendar is like that.

I don't believe there is a best time of the day. If the person on the other end wants to talk, they will. If not, on to the next.

Depends on many factors like if it was B2C or B2B,field of sales and when usually you find your lucky shots in terms of response and close rates!
To me,I just smile and dial at any while for more bonus no self denial:)

This is a great question. There are definite best days and times to cold call. Monday and tuesdays are usually not as good as Wed and Thurs. Fridays are also better than M/T, but can be hit or miss with people taking long weekends.
Also, calling before 8am and after 5pm can work for Execs. And timing your calls for 5min before each hour can catch people who are "always in the meeting".

Thursdays 11 o clock local time. People seem to be out of their morning BS around that time and feeling good that Friday is tomorrow

Many times, between 5-6pm for C-levels, can be good. Admin's gone home, and C will p/up thinking it's urgent.

Cold calling is worthless nowadays, meaning ultra low odds somewhere in the ballpark of 1/1000 even if you've done the requisite research to deem the company a viable prospective customer. We're in the era of the informed consumer. In fantasy land, the idea is you call someone you don't know at a company using competitor tools and they start telling you about all their problems you can coincidentally conveniently solve.. c'mon. If you're going to engage with someone net new outside the scope of the demand generation campaign you've guided your marketing department in crafting, it needs to be subtle and via email. Extend the olive branch and invite them to engage with you

I’d say some good times to start with would be before 10:00am (always mindful of the time zone). Over lunch to catch those that have busy days and that’s the only time they can answer. And 1:00 pm to catch those who just got back to their desk after lunch. And in the afternoon i usually call after 3:00.

Rotating your contact through the time slots helps make sure your hitting all the opportunities. (But not in the same day*** unless you’re trying to get blocked)

You also want to think about who it is your calling. Are they an individual contributor? Usually, you’ll have an easier time getting ahold of them depending on the department. Is it a senior leader and up? Think about the leaders in your organization and when they have free time. Not always universal but not a bad rule of thumb either.

Every customer is different. Case by case scenario.
