Final stretch of my interview process with Rippling, any insights?

Just finished step 4/5 which was the presentation and the feedback was unanimous in that I crushed it.
Final step is a conversation with the VP. This is for an Enterprise AE role.

Anyone with insights into whether this final step has been make/break for people? I would hope it's more of a final "check the box" and understanding my long term goals and how they align with the position as opposed to having to sell my ability to do the job.

I have one other company in process that I believe will give an offer, but Rippling is my top choice. If anyone knows what the process looks like beyond this step and timelines as well, greatly appreciated! of course working with my recruiter as well but  looking for validation on what to expect from peers

Being in a 5-7 step selection process can be a bit exhausting, so kudos for making it so far.

I’ve seen both sides actually. I’ve met VP/CEO’s who just want to have a casual chat before selection to indeed see who the team has approved off. As you mentioned “final check on the box”.

But I’ve also met the Head of Revenue, making it seem like a stress interview in the final round, asking me questions and trying to scare me and see if I am fir for the role or not.

My suggestion is, be prepared for whatever is to come. You should feel confident with ur prep and show that in the interview regardless.

All the best @TheEnglishMajor !!

Congratulations on getting so far. I have no insights specific to Rippling. I thing Gasty covered off on general expectations very well. Best of luck - great to see you pop up again with positive news!

Unless the VP talk is where he gives you the job, what in the hell else is there to talk about after 4 interviews. Much less 2?

I have had 2 of those and both of them were from a top executive (VP). It was causal, they asked for feedback on my performance on the previous interviews (how did I do according to me). If you know who you will be interviewing you in the final round, research about them online (their personas, views on sales processes and culture) and then align your answers accordingly. It worked like a charm for me and got me through both of those interviews! All the best.
