Gartner Account Executive

I'm interviewing for a AE position at Gartner tomorrow. Anyone have some insights with first hand experience with this position and can give me some tips on the company, pay and anything that would be worth knowing about this position?

My buddy works there and he likes it. Haven’t heard any negatives from people I know there.

Think he’s a 120 ish base and 200K OTE? He said he’s above that now and doesn’t see himself being under that OTE, and he’s been there for almost 2 years.

Is he/she a Sr.AE or enterprise AE? They told me the OTE is $105k for this role.

Oh maybe diff role he’s on the like events side? Not their consulting side/etc. Sells like sponsorships for 6 figures and stuff like that. I have no idea how they are structured tbh. But he’s senior, 15 years of experience in sponsorship across sports and events.

105k for an AE role?!? Sounds more like BDR territory.

Yeah you’re spot on, the title is AE but turned out it’s a BDR role.

Thought as much. What a lame way to get people to apply.

Close your interview. Make it clear.

Even if it’s 20k OTE, 5k base?

I did an interview with them awhile back, I remember at the time you had to be in TX or Florida, but things could have changed.

I only spoke with the recruiter so cant say too much on the interview process as a whole

I have a friend that works there. No complains with culture / pressure. The pay however is something I am not informed on.

Lol read the question again. I’m asking for things specifically pertaining to the AE position like pay, and first hand experience of people who worked at Gartner in the same position not like tips on how to get a AE job in general.

I would be straight up and ask what the compensation package is, after all you need to know if it will be worth your time.

I've had a couple colleagues who recently interviewed and they shared base was around $140k with OTE at $250k. I think they were both for an AE - Enterprise roles.

Going through this process as well and have an upcoming interview with a lead skilled assessor. Says it will be a 45 minutes competencies based interview followed by a 10 minute discovery call role play. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
