I've had a large 150% to quota type of deal darn near ready to go and received the words that any AE with a long history with a customer hates to hear...I'm leaving the company.
Usually this means the deal is on hold until the new guy can get up to speed, blah, blah.
However, not today. My guy did me a favor and was able to get half the deal closed worth (80% of my quota alone) before he left if at all possible.
Approvals were collected, and 2 days before his final day it was signed. We went to lunch today, I met his replacement and he turns in his badge tomorrow...and your boy just hit 200% of his quota for the quarter.
