Has anyone done these paid consulting opportunities they taunt through LinkedIn? This one is for 1hr and says they pay $300. Says they are working with a client who wants to learn about (insert industry)

Yeah, I've done it a couple of times. You can usually talk up your price assuming you actually have the expertise they're looking for. It's good to clarify that I've only done engagements where the expertise they're looking for is about an industry I'm no longer involved with. It's not good to risk a conflict of interest should it ever get back to your current employer.
Would it matter as long as youโre clear you wonโt talk about specific clients or reveal any proprietary info, how we price etc?
They actually insist that you donโt. When you sign up youโll have to do a quick onboard. Itโs easy.

yep, done like 3-4 of them now and been paid each time. it gets kind of annoying though because they will ask you to take a survey a lot of times prior to being selected and it becomes redundant

Yep! Made a few grand last year and conversations rarely went longer then 15 minutes, but they still pay for the full hour.
