Help me find a decent Nintendo Switch game

So a while back I got me a switch from the commission store. Great for younger kids as you can play mario type games on it. My kid loves Mario Party and Mario Kart.


However, I've grown bored of these as someone that used to really enjoy COD and Halo as a teen. Are there any decent Nintendo Switch games out there that are more my speed?

I've been loving Smash Bros., but always did on 64.

Just got Mortal Kombat but haven't tried it out.

Hearing from my knowledgeable teen, that Super SmashBros and Mario Cart are the best games, Zelda is also good.

Hades & Darkest Dungeon. Comparatively cheap, and will keep you going for ages.

Katana Zero - much quicker, but absolute banger of a game.

It's pretty decent, great for younger kids. I recently discovered that a game I liked as a kid was released for the switch as well so I'm enjoying it more lately.

Probably monster hunter games, or breath of the wild. Or jump into Pokémon but it is more kid focused

Zelda has been the most recommended so it looks like I'm getting Zelda. I also recently found out that they released one that I really liked as a kid onto the Switch. Jedi Academy

Zelda BOTW is great. There's also this new version of the ninja turtles that you might enjoy if you had a SNES back in the 90s.

I’ve played Resident Evil 4, Diablo III, The Doom Slayer Collection, and Borderlands all that might be up your alley.

The Switch has a pretty impressive third party catalog
