Hiring Manager Keeps Viewing Application?

If you applied for a sales job (on LinkedIn, sorry) and you keep getting emails that the job poster has "viewed your application". Would you consider it too aggressive to just email the job poster directly?

Not aggressive at all. In fact, I'd encourage it.

If you aren't reaching out directly to begin with, you won't get the job.

It's just a part of the hiring process and pretty normal as well and also means that there's an ongoing progress with your application otherwise it might have been discarded.
And I believe it's just a feature being used by LI and other recruitment platforms in favor of the applicant to let them know the status of their applications, and believe also this notification was just automatically sent by default via the website for any action to be taken on someone's application and not being sent directly by the employer.
And finally I would say that this feature is GREAT!

Definitely follow up. If there is something there, it won't be viewed badly. And if it's a technical glitch/mistake, then you can't really come out any worse off.

Let me ask an additional question: Is it appropriate to mention that you're seeing your application viewed (ex: "Hello I noticed you have reviewed my application, let me know if there is any additional information I can provide to assist in your decision making process...")

or better outreach tactic to focus on your interest in the position and not mention it? Thanks all!

Why not?

Hey Jim. I keep seeing my app get open and was curious why no oneโ€™s moved forward towards getting an interview set up?

can I ask whatโ€™s preventing that from happening?

Should I connect on LinkedIn with the hiring manager after getting rejected?

Rejected by recruiter for SDR position before any interview, despite having referral and track record. My inner-salesman is telling me to ignore the rejection and start reaching out to Sales Managers directly.

On the hunt for a new AE role. Should I be blasting out tons of applications? Connecting directly with hiring managers on Linkedin?
