I went to the Wherehouse record store and bought a bunch of albums, pre-compact disc era.
Omg, I miss the Wherehouse. And Tower.
Seriously. Record shopping was a personal cultural event.
And hearing what was playing in the store, ending up with an additional purchase...those were dangerous times!
I honestly cannot remember. I do remember the biggest one I ever got - paid off my car, two vacations and some to savings.

Back in the day when companies issued actual paychecks, I walked mine across the building into the bank. I endorsed the check, filled out the deposit slip and just waited to see the look on the teller's face.

Know what you want to spend that check on before you earn it. Reaching a goal you've worked hard for will be much more fulfilling than an impulse buy.
