Hey guys,

I would like more input on my resume recently got laid off and I'm looking for preferably an AE position but would be ok with a BDR if the opportunity is the right one.

I would like some input on my resume so light me up! haha Any input to improve would be appreciated, I still want to stay in tech sales.

Stats and how you performed; "obtained 12 new logos, representing $2M in ARR and 234% attainment" would be superior, for example. But along those lines.

Would you be so kind and post it as a picture instead? Many of us don't like downloading stuff or clicking on links

Thanks! So maybe I'd put to present positions at the top. Otherwise good stuff in the comments that I agree with

Resume are results trackers and scoreboard. You do very little to explain your results (money) and list several bullets that waste space about the tasks you perform.

Agreed. Streamline the bullets and get specific on achievements.

It will drastically trim this thing down.

Lets start from the top:

Get rid of "Objective". Use "Professional Summary" instead.

In your "Professional Summary" - make it easier to read. Use some bullet points. No one wants to read a novel. And each bullet point should scream "YOU'D BE AN IDIOT NOT TO HIRE ME".

You jump between Founder and AE titles. And you have too many bullets in your job descriptions. Each bullet should detail an accomplishment, not tell the reader what you did. As a Sales person we know that you sold stuff, developed relationships, etc. So don't mention it. Try to keep it to 3 bullets per job too.

You have A LOT of jobs in a short period of time. Your resume is your opportunity to tell YOUR story the way you want to tell it. Don't lie, but don't tell them everything. And anything not related to the job to which you are applying - omit it.

Skills - too long. And filled with "I don't care" items. Use the Skills area to repeat unique words and requirements from the Job Posting. If the JD doesn't ask for Zoominfo- don't mention it. But if it states Salesforce - mention it 3-4 times. Get it?

Education - I would save space and only mention where you got your degree from (omit dates) and the exact degree. Is it Geoscience or Business Management? Pick one.

Attainment as an AE? How did you perform against quota? The rest is filler.

+1 everything that has been said

Did you "handle and organize inventory" or did you "streamline the inventory process, resulting in a 10% decrease in shrink and a 5% increase in productivity" ?

Did you "cold call" or were you "top performing BDR in a team of 9, with x cold calls made and $xyz in qualified pipeline"
Numbers and stats always.

Regarding formatting, try to not have any bullets/lines with only 1-3 words. This wastes valuable real estate on the page and one of the reasons people struggle with capturing their experience with just a one-pager

In the same boat amigo and agree with what everyone said above.

I have been using Teal for creating resumes and keeping track of jobs I have applied for. It is a game changer!!! Good luck out there and keep your head up.

For me it doesn't make sense mentioning beginner level languages. Two is cool. I speak 3-4 fluently, usually mention 3 because I am comfortable working in those languages. Other ones I know but not to a working level. It's more of a hobby

Do you guys recommend I take away my Certification for project management since it doesn't have anything to do with sales?
Also how important is it for the resume to be 1 page?

I see project management certification as a plus- you understand change management which is a huge part of sales. I agree with others, focus on metrics and short short short, maybe three bullet points per job listing. Happy to give more feedback off-line, this is an area I feel pretty good in.
