Is it weird I don’t want to know what my prospects look like?

Random but I almost never look up a client on LinkedIn or social media. I’ve been in sales almost a decade and have only tried looking someone up like 5 times. I get annoyed when people have their front facing camera on for meetings when it isn’t necessary. Is this just me?

As  BDR I sometimes do not want to know what my prospects look like prior to cold calling because then I start to make assumptions about how rude they will be if they do pick up. Beyond that I always want to know what they look like.

It’s just you. I feel like my A game is on when I have that real life or mental face to face time.

I like not knowing their face as well. Helps me stay calm on the cold call if I have no idea what the person looks like

I almost get upset when they don't turn their camera on because I've become so accustomed to reading body language and facial expressions over zoom demos now. Need that face-to-face interaction to become maximally effective.

Ehhh, I personally think there's more advantages to knowing what they look like. Sure you can psych yourself out but I feel like you can tell a lot about a person sometimes based on their LinkedIn pic. If someone has a professional headshot versus a fun/quirky photo, it does give you a little bit of insight into how they carry themselves.

Do you still wear a full suit to your 1st meeting with a prospect, or is that completely dust now and feel like a used car salesman?

When a lead answers the phone for the first time in history only to scream at me to stop calling my first reaction is to laugh really loud. I don't even think about it.
