Jumping ship from B2B manufacturing sales to saas

Hey everybody,

I have sales experience in the automotive industry and more recently the manufacturing.

I'm looking to switch things up and get into saas sales (hence why I'm apart of this group).

Curious what you guys would recommend that is a good fit. I have 8 years of sales experience but none in saas industry.

An AE role I'm sure would be a good fit and I know I'd kill it, but I could see hesitation from an employer.

What is everyone's thoughts?

This is what I did - joined a software company as BDR. In a few months, switched to an AE. You can take the calculated risk and decide what’s best for you, I had no option then.
