"Massive" layoffs at Bravado?

Seeing posts on social about "massive layoffs" at our beloved Bravado.

Goes without saying I feel bad for those impacted.

Also makes me concerned for the viability of these beloved boards.

Should we cash out our commission asap?

Thanks for mentioning this - I'll be writing about this publicly soon.

TLDR: We make our money off sales recruiting. Which means we lost 90% of our revenue last month as every company stopped hiring.

Forced us to make a really brutal decision. It was my fault that I didn't do a good enough job preparing for this truly worst-case scenario.

The trade off was putting us in a position where we have 4+ years runway even if we make $0 in revenue. So no, the war room isn't going anywhere.

But for now, my focus is helping those that are no longer on the team find new roles. I'll be back with what comes next soon.

Great answer. With WFH - I miss people at the office and well, people in general. TNS, Bravado and some other things are helping me feel part of a community again.

I appreciate the transparency, and even though I'm very new here, it gives me confidence that lessons will be learned for the future and that there's no way Bravado won't be able to weather this storm. It seems like an amazing resource, and I'm grateful it's here. Adaptability and resilience is what we do as salespeople. Sorry to hear about the loss of team members, and wishing them well. I saw this on LI but hesitated to post anything on it.

I saw a post of a now former employee's wife who talked in detail about the layoffs. It was a very gracious post and spoke to how @sahilis handling these layoffs versus the callousness of other companies which have hit the news recently.

I know that laying off people, especially good people with families to support, etc. is very difficult. I sincerely hope the best for all involved.

Layoffs happen and it’s a part of business. Even companies with the best intentions are not immune. Sounds like Bravado treated its team with respect and dignity. Sahil taking responsibility shows what kind of leader he is. How you deal with adversity shows a persons true character. Don’t let this scare you away from sales, it’s an amazing profession.
