Olympics? Y'all watching?

I heard viewership is down this year. Curious if it's a shift or something else. Do y'all normally watch and aren't this year? Something change? If you are watching what's been your fav Olympic moment thus far.

I was not watching it, then I turned it on and four hours later I was like, 'Welp, his legs came apart slightly on the pommel horse, can't let that happen, that's a tenth of a point deduction.'

I wish I had more time to watch it to be honest. I miss being a kid and being impressed by people breaking wolrd records and dreaming about doing it myself.ย

Not watching but mainly because I just don't have time. If I do watch it, I'll get about 5 minutes of motivation to exercise, followed by 3 hours of "I'm a fat fuck!" while emotionally blubbering into ice cream.ย

I keep the Olympics on throughout the day & just passively listen. I like seeing all of the different events that aren't necessarily highlighted. For example, I watched mountain biking the other day & it was sick!

The only thing I don't love is knowing who wins before watching the actual events because of the time differences, but obviously that's inevitable.ย 

I think a good follow up question to this could be, do you prefer winter or summer olympics?

It can't be helped but after the Euros, the Olympics just isn't that interesting.ย

I wouldn't say I hate it at all, I'm just not all that interested. If it happens to be on somewhere like a waiting room or something I'll probably watch but I'm not tuning in myself.

I used to always watch the Olympics but man who was in charge of the marketing this year?? Not a lot of people knew it was still happening until a few months ago. Also Covid doesnโ€™t help. The viewership would be much higher if there wasnโ€™t a global pandemic lol

I love it because there is so much going on you can pick and choose what you want to see. Also a lot of new sports to discover.ย
