Opinions- Who are the greatest communicators throughout history?

For me personally - Jesus and Socrates come to mind for their story telling abilities and influence that shaped, and developed, western and European culture. Who comes to mind when you think of iconic communicators?

In line with the Trump fans on here, I think Obama is well-spoken and seems to hold the audience captive. He's the antithesis of Trump in some ways, as he is very eloquent and uses a much more diverse vocabulary. Both reach their intended audience effectively though!

Obama is definitely a talented speaker. Very eloquent and even keeled.

I'd throw Thomas Jefferson in the mix simply for inaugurating enlightenment-era philosophy into American culture.ย ย

He wasn't the greatest orator but his ability to communicate through writing is almost unmatched in my opinion.

I mean, like him or not Trump definitely uses communication to his benefit. He certainly doesn't appeal to everyone but he did an excellent job at appealing to his voter base with very direct, often off color and very non politician way of speaking.

I have been to one if his speeches and it was amazing how he played off the crowd and told stories while speaking

Trump is the king of rallies lol. There's a reason he packed the house everywhere he went.

I was super clear, he was an awful human being. He rose to power through his communication and ability to control a narrativeย

I'm going to say Churchill, MLK, and Gandhi due to their ability to motivate and influence generations.

Steve Jobs was really captivating on stage as well.ย
