Outreach Inbound Inquiries Question

Hey all,

I'm trying to set up an automated email sequence in Outreach for when the company gets an inbound inquiry.

We have this done for 2 of the three companies I am looking after, but I was not part of the process when this was done last, and the person who did it, is no longer working for the company.

I'm trying to find the answer on their Knowledge base, but I am not coming up with any luck. Probably cause I am dumb as fuck. I would msg their support, but having to wait 2-3 days for a reply really sucks.

Does anyone here have any experience with this?

I don't work with SDRs so this may be ignorance speaking, but why would you not just pick up the phone and call this inbound sales inquiry immediately?!  Why sign this person up for a bunch of automated emails?

So this is mainly to help track all inbound leads that come in.

The leads are responded to by our Sdr's, but we want to let the prospects know that we have received their inquiry and one of our team members will be reaching out to them shortly.

Having SDRs respond to inbound is pathetic at best.  Those should go straight to an AE as they have basically qualified themselves.  The AE should be calling them within the hour (although not too quickly - that's creepy).

I wouldn't say pathetic. We get lots of inbound inquiries that do not go anywhere, so we are not wasting the time of our closers by having our SDRs reach out.

I would ask the rhetorical question - do they not go anywhere because someone inexperienced is handling the inquiry or because they were truly not interested? And if the later, why did they make original inquiry?

to clarify, you want to setup a workflow through outreach that is activated when an inbound request comes in to automate into an inbound sequence. correct?

That is correct @SADNESSLieutenant. A prospect sends an inquiry to the sales email, then a automated email gets sent out to the prospect.

I know how to set up the sequences, I just don't know how to sync up the sales email to Outreach.

I would contact your sales ops person or look into workflow building or contact outreach. Thats above my paygrade

Cheers. We don't really have a sales ops person to handle this. lol I've contact Outreach support, but it will probably take a couple days for a reply. lol Thanks Sadness
