Posting Content to Social

Has anyone had success using social media as a platform to post information and then receive decent engagement on those posts?

Everything I see from either colleagues or competitors is so mundane and boring.

Any thoughts/advice is immensely appreciated.

Here's some advice: REFRAIN from posting this -

- "My Fabulous company brings you another fabulous webinar on the most fabulous day of the week - tomorrow! Save your spot!"

I don't care unless Arnold Schwarzenegger is hosting the webinar.

If you have something interesting or valuable to say, post away. But forced "influencing" is really just noise.

I think there are a few posts about this topic. The search bar may help some.

Very few people actually have success with it, I personally have not

Building engagement is a time consuming process and needs a lot of dedication. I personally haven’t found this helpful for the line of business I am in but I am sure for others it’s a value add

yes it can for sure be helpful.

The most important thing is to have a point of view.
If you are just saying generic stuff then its not helpful and its just noise.

But if you are sharing information that is relevant, and has a specific point of view then i think it can be a great idea.

I use social exclusively as a self-branding tool. I rarely post but when I do the goal is to get across that I am just a regular-ole human. NOT an extension of my company. Sometimes I’m a human with industry updates to share, but mostly my posts are about personal experiences in the professional setting. I’m a big believer in “People buy from people” and dedicate a lot of time to rapport building activities.

Yeah, you need to be producing actual value with your posts. Anything else is pointless/clogs up people's feeds and can serve as a detriment to your efforts.
