August is a rough month when selling into education so I'm happy to walk away with a win, regardless of size.
Got in touch with our main PoC at this account, introduced them to the idea of our new product, it was an immediate hit. Ran into problems with the decision maker and budget. He insisted this would be the most expensive solution they pay for, and broke it down to a really granular cost analysis. We ended up capitulating to his demands because it was really obvious he wanted the new product, and we didn't want to sacrifice a good relationship with a longstanding client. Dropped our development cost by over 75%...
