Another case of the in-person touch pulling a deal across the finish line.
Myself and a colleague had been working this deal since August. Our champion was sold from the very onset, but needed to get board approval.
The contract has been held up by the board since September, so we've been trying to put some incentives in place to get it across their desk. Hadn't heard anything from our champion in a while, so I stopped in yesterday unannounced.
He was super happy to see me, said that he had just gotten board approval and was ready to move forward. Had the contract back by the end of the day.
