SaaS to Services

Current job went sideways so unfortunately I'm looking for a new job. I have a really good opportunity with a services company. It would be a great move for me, but its outside of SaaS and it's not your typical services company. Would this hurt my chances of moving back to SaaS? Concerned if I made the move and this goes sideways years down the road that I will have shot myself in the foot moving outside if SaaS

Will SaaS companies look at sales management experience at a services company the same? I just dont want to pigeon hole myself

You now have SaaS experience. That won’t change. Now you’ll get services experience. You really should be even more desirable of an employee with both.

If you had a role in SaaS previously should be able to transition back if you want

how many years in saas do you have an what role?

You will probably be fine. i had a friend be in saas for 2 years (AE and SDR) left sales all-together for 3 years and I helped him get a job back in Saas in two weeks.

Hopefully you would have the same experience

As long as the "services" are illegal, you should be fine.
