Based on the expansive information you provided above on Product, Market, Annual Rev, Territory Size and Historical Output I would say: $420.69/yr

I'd say a 69/31 split of base to OTE most likely

Yo @IzzyWinning OTE is heavily dependent on a myriad of factors from COGS and CAC to burn and runway. We can’t give you a specific answer, but a 70/30 base/variable split is a good starting point. Some orgs adjust for higher upside to incentivize you to drive more deals in the pipe.

Well, I'd say about three fiddy and $420 as a signing bonus. $69 a month for WFH expenses. Definitely hit your boss up for a 20-40% raise after three weeks on the job.

100% equity, no guaranteed salary, equity/options distributed are based on performance of the team, and free coffee of course.

Before the great sales department realignment of 2022, i was on track for about $125k OTE managing an Inside sales team. basically just had a quarterly bonus structure that was 50% team performance, 50% company performance. it was NOT my ideal setup!!!

I think managers should get a higher base, plus team performance bonus. You should also negotiate a one time bonus for every time a rep of yours gets promoted. But this was all Pre Series A compensation.

It should be around $150-250k in my opinion

Mostly just meant to be a conversation, folks. But all of this snark is fine too. This wasn't meant for me specifically.

Lol.... Let me halp.

Your question is very simplistic in nature, yet you provide no detail as to what you are looking for. A Sales Manager in SaaS will be paid and compensated DRAMATICALLY different than a Sales Manager selling Med Devices or Dildos. Also, is this a local/regional/national/enterprise/SMB/Fortune50 sales role?

You see the point? (Hence the snark)

Help us help YOU, and you will see reduced snark (cannot commit to a zero snark policy)

@RealPatrickBateman I understood the snark immediately. I was merely posing this as a question to the community, encouraging the various responses that I'd get. I'm not asking for me. So there is no more detail to provide. But I appreciate your zeal, brother.

@RealPatrickBateman But since we're on the topic. Let's use this as an example: SaaS sales manager responsible for all North American reps (8 account executives ranging from SMB to Enterprise) in a Series B startup with deal sizes ranging from $10k-$500k ARR.

I'm getting a 70/30 split with a 100K OTE uncapped. Pre-series A. We're still building the company out (roughly 175 employees now) and expanding into new international territories. Currently managing 5 AEs. We're more of a professional services firm that's looking to adopt a Saas model now that we have a sellable product so we're moving in that direction. Would love to see what others think if this is reasonable at this stage

How big is your team? I think you should net 15-25% your salary per quarter… depending on comp plan. OTE for the year should be somewhere near 80-100+% your base.
