Sales vs Age

Becoming elder by time, would it affect your sales passion, mental wellness or bearing sales pressure or not?

And if yes at which age would I consider a situation change?

And what would you suggest in this case a full career change or seeking a promotion within the same career at least to get off the headphone?

Passion will always be there but you might have different goals in life, right?

I wouldnโ€™t be selling over a headset. Iโ€™m 34, and still love sales, even if I have tough days/weeks.

It's different for everyone but I moved into management to get off the phone. Moving back into an IC role with the intention of getting into full cycle management.

For me it'a about perspective. In my 20s I was more career driven and wanted to climb the ladder.

now i want to earn money but have a good WLB. it's just a job and i'm not defined by it.

Having said that I still like to perform but my goal is becoming one of those guys who hit quota consistently while working 4/5 hours a day

I think you lose it somewhere between age 20-21. lol.....

You lose passion when you stop caring. And you can stop caring for many reasons. Simply aging isn't one of those reasons.

Many times to move up, you need to move out.

Probably at the 31 year, 4 month mark. Then it's time for a full-scale career change perhaps sales to teaching or sales to nursing. Even if you still "feel" the passion, don't get fooled and stay in sales beyond 31 years, 4 months.
