Side Hustles and contract restrains

So I have two side Hustles I want to start and both have nothing to do with my employers business. I am an enterprise AE.


My contract however bluntly states that I am not allowed to make cash via other companies. how can I start this conversation with my manager without making them feel that I am not committed to the company and full time AE responsibility? This will be 100/100 outside of work hours mostly.

Just do what you want. Why would you have to disclose it? What you do off company time is none of their concern.

this is the way, what they don't know can't hurt them.

for my side hustle i have an LLC setup that doesnt mention my name or home address, can't find it on any searches - email is masked to match LLC.

It can be tough, but not out of the norm. I think it's silly to have these clauses in place at any company. You need to have the conversation with them and make it very clear.

How is your performance right now? How long have you been at the current company? How long have you had the side hustles for?

Quite long but now hopefully it's getting better. Essentially it's my hobby as well.

I am currently performing very well.

Option 1, don't say anything, high risk though. I think this works if its Rover or driving for Uber

Option 2, Present it as a hobby you are already spend x hours a week AFTER hours and now good enough to make money.

Making cash via other companies sounds like you getting a job working for someone else, where that company might have a claim on your time that could lead to conflict. Are you going to be employed by another company, or are you doing something on your own as a sole proprietor?
