- Have a clear strategy and vision of what "leadership" you want to get into. - Ace your performance- Don't just focus on your own performance. Also take a look at how you can give back to the team, to your fellow teammates and maybe even mentor new joiners. - Make sure you communicate what you want to the management early on. Don't be a secret mission you alone are working on.

-Develop listening skill, because everyone hears but everyone knows how to listen.
-As a manager this skill is critical when it comes to knowing the individuals you're coaching.
-Be empathetic and understand that not everyone learns at the same level.
-Never stop learning and developing, grow, adjust and continue moving forward.
-Read and look for successful coaches and managers, adapt some of their rhetoric and ideas to your style of coaching.
-Be transparent and stick to your ethics.
-Never listen to anyone and I mean anyone, who will not help you progress.
-If they are not thinking and moving in same direction as you and your successful get as far away from them as you can.
-Do your job and don't get dragged into company politics, it can be toxic and ruin everything you worked hard to build
