I closed this deal with 2 hrs left on my LAST day at the company.
We had been in talks with them for around 6 months (I was co-selling my solution with a colleague who was also selling them a multi-suite offering). We had an initial discovery/Demo call in February and they took 4 months performing their Duo diligence on the entire suite of products. We had been pulling them into product webinars and sending them info for feature updates monthly to keep their appetite, but they were mostly quiet during the entire sales process.
We offered a pretty extreme discount with an expiration date of yesterday and sent them a secondary quote with what it would cost them to procure in August. In the end, got the PO without having to run any type of POC!
