After 5.5 months of grinding away at this deal, it has finally closed!!!
This is not even close to being a large opportunity and while the deal itself was not complicated in the least, the procurement was delayed every month for the past 4 months. Three months in, I finally created a business case (I usually only do this for deals 10K+) for my champion to present to his management while asking for approval. Due to some unforeseen circumstances, the meeting didn't have enough people to vote on the project and we had to wait an additional month for the committee's next meeting.
After sending a break-up email to the company after my previous 3 emails went unanswered, I finally received the news that they'd be moving forward!
Once again, not much revenue but this one felt damn good to finally mark closed won in salesforce!
