This was a wicked important deal for us. We lost an RFP to our largest competitor for this customer 3 years ago. They went on to be a customer that our competitor referenced ALL the time.
Turns out, the customer HATED them.
Our competitor f'ed up a super critical integration and the customer realized they had made a bad choice.
They came back to us and pretty much said "where do we sign".
Now we have a key customer reference for someone who left our competitor. thats the real value of this deal.
