How long is lengthy?

I like DFW for the fact that I can get a really good long fast walk in, and no one will bug me. Itโ€™s good exercise in between long flights for me.

Of course American has its lounge there which I think is $40? And there are a couple others there as well which are similarly priced.

When I have time to kill and want to get some work done I typically find a place to get a pizza or some french fries and sit in the corner or Nono bug me. There are plenty of places at DFW for that.

If you're flying American, you're going to be spending most of your time changing terminals and gates.

I'm only kind of kidding.

Just make sure you stay vigilant with regard to your flight and the changes.

And constant changes. I don't think I've even gone through DFW without at least one gate change.

Sure thing! It's one of the only places it happens, because usually a carrier will be in one terminal. AA has gates at 3 of the terminals...which can make it super fun when you've picked up your bus from the rental car agency to take you to a terminal and you get a terminal change enroute and get to take another bus to get to the proper terminal. Once you're checked in, though, you can get around via the tram system or by walking.

It's not that bad. If you didn't check a bag like a fool, the train can take you anywhere in 10 min without having to deal with security.

Traveling with a hockey player requires checked bags. (not all my travel is for work).

My point was just to be vigilant - AA often makes you hop around, so don't get comfy. Make sure your notifications are set so you get the changes.

I'd hop the skylink to terminal D. Lots of good spots there including an Admirals club. D is the international terminal so it is larger, more restaurants, shops, etc. and it's rarely super crowded. Keep in mind DFW is the 2nd busiest airport in the world.

Absolutely, Terminal D has the best amenities. And there are those 2nd floor areas to go hide out and people watch while you get work done.

Yeah it's an international flight so I'll likely be in D. Good to know though, I'll stay vigilant

There are some airline lounges, for a singular visit if they allow itโ€™s probably around 75$. But if you have a lot of time to kill could be worth it, especially if you can expense it

Probably won't be able to expense it unfortunately but even still happy to happy if it's decent rates for that much time

Terminal D has some great spots to relax and eat in. If you have a Capital One card as well they have a lounge there thatโ€™s pretty nice.

Sorry about your luck. I think the Dallas airport is one of our worst. No character, very sterile and bland.
