I do prep work over the weekends. Just set up emails to go out Monday morning, update admin systems, and follow up on any internal notes.

How do you feel about that? Compensated fairly?

I do it so I can have more time at night/afternoon. Work needs to get done and I get comped based on what I close (and this helps me close).

Only if a hot deal closing soon requires it. I am not doing outbound or any non closing activities.

I’ll work on weekends sporadically when an opportunity demands it, decks or research for a Monday morning pitch, etc. But I really try hard not to. My personal clock runs better at night- so I try to get it handled during the week.

This is about what happens for me. I’ve also had to travel over weekends too, to be prepped for Monday meetings. For me, it’s about the project (opportunity) at hand, and what’s needed to get it done.

But I also work best when I have personal time.

That last part- If personal time means windows where nobody at home, work, or elsewhere is making demands, that’s when I get my best work done also.

They gonna give you a revenue responsibility?

They call it LDP - Leadership Development Program.

Feels like I have to learn about peoples problems and manage reports. Also have to do interviews for potential new hires, but I am just part of the process not a decision maker.

account research, generate strategy for the week, set up cadences and brainstorm messaging on Sunday while I watch Sports. Saturday is for rest unless I have a presentation I'm behind on

If I want to prospect new accounts I might do it for an hour after kids are asleep.

Sometimes I might have 10 minutes on Sunday evening to make Monday morning easier, usually no weekends though

Yes - in a sales role, it's critical to be as available as possible. That doesn't mean working full days or every weekend. If you're not available, the client will go somewhere else.
