What's the value of Bravado to sales people?

I'm confused as to what I'm supposed to be getting from this community. Any tips on how to best leverage this tool for career development?

Tons of threads on career development - I would leverage the search bar for whatever in particular you want.

There are threads on internal movement, prospecting, cold calling, emails, tracking down interns that escaped the torture cabinet, negotiating, interviewing, starting new jobs, drinking, etc.

If you have a question that hasn’t been covered to your satisfaction, post a thread and you will get some of us salty veterans to reply with advice for ya.

And if you happen to see someone named Paddy comment on your post, you’ve officially earned your “war room veteran” status. He’s our resident Kahlua expert and intern jail warden.

Great advice on everything from job hunting to getting a ghosted prospect to answer the phone, dank memes, and banter with some of the greatest savages you'll ever meet. I also found love in this hopeless place.

I think its a to each their own type thing.  Some folks come here for help.  Some folks come here (me) just to hang around and engage with likely minded people. For me, I dig the anonymity because I can be and say whatever the hell I want without having to carry my company brand with me (which I can't do in Linkedin - so I have to be tempered). I also enjoy "giving back" some of the knowledge I've compiled over my old man years to the next generation, and so far there's been plenty of opportunities to do that.

Take it all in. Some of it is just for shits and gigs, other has meaningful content that you can put into your day to day, and a lot of it is talking about BS we have to deal with as sales people.

Its a good space to just vent or ask questions. Better place to just know that others are going through the same shit you are.

I posted this in a similar thread about the best things we have learned from WR. I think you get out what you put into it. There’s a lot of great content you can search for. But definitely don’t be shy about posting questions. There’s a good group of sales vets on here who are kind enough to offer their advice. I also like to read other peoples war stories and successes.

I’d say when you’re stuck against a wall and can’t get over it, you come on here and someone has posted or commented your exact dilemma and then you have the answer!

It a great community of sales oriented individuals, who share their knowledge, tips and tricks about the industry!

We got sales humor, horror stories and real time advice about anything you can imagine, if you can’t find what you are looking for in the search bar, feel free to add the topic in question in a post!

I would look at it as your untapped resource to the most honest sales/career advice you can find, mixed with some unmatched comedy, and some world class shit talk that makes the sales world go round.

Everything everyone has mentioned so far.  Plus, humor.  Sales can be frustrating and there are a good amount of shitposts here to bring levity to your day.

Call me what you want, just sign the damn contract
I would siphon up anything you can about career advice from a lot of the folks mentioned. There are constantly questions around the lines of which jobs to take, ways to get promoted more quickly, etc., that people with legit experience answer.
