I got laid off, I started a job application concierge service where I apply for jobs on other people's behalf.
Also doing some side contract gigs.

All of them inspired by sales.

I was a content writer before, in college. It was heavily demotivating in the beginning. But luck had my back, one of my friends who was also a writer was quitting and they wanted their clientele to be taken care of.
That's how my content writing gig took off. It wasn't really a startup tbh.

But I can only imagine how much of discipline, grit and sacrifice would be required to startup.
There are some brilliant posts on it and articles on it too.

I played online poker as a side hustle for a bit. Similar principle as sales: if you have a slight edge, volume makes you money in the long run.

Stopped after awhile as it is excruciatingly mentally taxing as I was doing this along with a strictly outbound sales role. But was able to make some decent side income doing it.

It’s not for everyone. I invested hours upon hours of studying strategy and such. And still, my hourly wr was about minimum wage. But better that than sitting around watching Netflix, ey?
