Needs vs Wants. You may have offered what they want, but whether or not they realize it, you have established the need. If they need it,ย  then it just comes down to budget and timing.

How do you all handle a situation where a prospect has a contract approved and is ready for signature, but one of their family members just passed away? Want to be extremely sensitive to the situation...feel there's never a "right" time to reach out and never want to be salesy...

You negotiated till No Regret Price with Finance dept and he moved forward the quote to Purchase dept. Now purchase team asking for more discount else not processing forward ? How to tackle this ?
