3-25 Friday Happy Hour - moving is really awful and I’m tired edition

How is everyone doing? Q1 (q2 for me) ends soon. Are we stressed, coasting, or overachieving?


I had a great quarter but am now watching my future commissions depart my bank account and go towards home improvement projects. Unpacking has been a beast and exhausting and I’d like it to end but it’s gonna be a while.


I am cracking some Orange Door IPA from a Chicago area brewery. It’s kind of my go to beer so it fits. I’ll also be grilling some tomahawks tonight in the possible snow.

My weekend is about to start with me going to get tacos. then reading some books I've been meaning to get around too. And also will include some fun house chores that need to be done. 

Will include some time for video games too. So far I'm playing Horizon Forbidden West and it is incredibly well done. If you're on the fence you should pick it up! Just use a couple commish gift cards.

This is a tomahawk. I’ll share a pic when I’m done with mine. 

Thinking first will be smaller stuff. Fix some doors, seal up the garage, some walkway lights, tear out some shit plants and shrubs to make the yard bigger for the kids, then move onto the bigger stuff in 12-18 months. Adding a bathroom and talking about solar as well.
