A leasing company as a call centre client?

Hey Savages,

So I've been cold-calling (calls colder than an eskimos testicles) and I landed a transfer from reception to the VP of a niche leasing company. Apparently they had an in-house star AE that died during COVID, and they haven't touched their books since his passing. He was the ONLY one with the initiative of prospecting, and following up etc etc. As a result, this company went from making an avg 70 deals a month to 20.

They want us (me) to expand their books and portfolio and keep contact with their clients and re-sign them on new leases etc, etc.

I have a meeting with them in person tomorrow, and I have no idea what to charge them as a b2b. Also, this seems like a headache of a job to fullfill as a 3rd party.

Any ideas, thoughts, comments? Sorry for the long ass post btw.

It seems like a good job for an internal hire, I agree.

No, I’m in the infancy stage of this call centre.

Not sure what you sell. That said, you need to dig a couple levels deeper on their pain. And bring your manager or similar to the meeting to collaborate on the pricing.

I'm pretty impressed that you have gone from asking about starting this business to hustling up some interest so quickly.
I mean, what to charge should be something you have in mind, based on your cost of doing business + what you need to add to grow and profit, right? Have you got staff yet? Have you researched other call centers/staffing agencies for their hourly rates and/or %s?

Thanks, man. To be fair, I started this call centre before my last post, and I just wanted more potential insight as to where else I should look for business. Generally you’ve got the right pricing idea in your response but this company already has customer service and reception etc, so there goes hourly $$. It seems the most attractive offer I may provide is performance based.

Try to understand more about the business, process, how they make money, churn etc. to see if this is something you’d want to do and ask how much they are willing to offer. My question is the same as 🧠tank, figure out if they can hire you vs working as a 3P.

This is a great response, but I operate the 3p.

Star AE died during covid? That's quite a sad story
Sounds like there is a lot of potential there though. Maybe charge 500 (or x amount) for every meeting set and 1% for every deal they close out of the meetings you set up? Something like that perhaps?
Or slam them with a figure and then have room to negotiate

As someone with experience in leasing companies, what is your goal/objective in coordinating/working with them? What do YOU get out of the relationship?
