HubSpot is very simple to use when you have a team that has configured it properly.

Are you getting a message failed because the contact is bouncing? Attach a screenshot (redact the info if you want) that shows the error, and I'll help suss it out.

You're great, PBC! Thanks for the help. The limerick is general complaining/shitposting, so I don't have a hard example that I haven't already troubleshot.


My biggest recurring issue is actually around contacts who fall into one of two categories:


A) have unsubscribed from our content before I've attempted to sequence them (don't know if there's a way to reverse an unsubscribe, haven't found that toggle yet)

B) My domain is blocked before I even attempt to reach out to them

I suspect that some of it to do with marketing, as they're sending out emails on a very regular basis. I am reaching out into Europe too, so obviously there's GDPR rules in the way. It's frustrating to me that many of my contacts that I've pulled into the system over the past year are becoming unusable for something that's out of my control.

You have found the two items in HubSpot that are very difficult and/or impossible to get around. That said, you can always email them one-off via Gmail and set up reminders to email them again if they have unsubscribed.

CRMs are always going to have bottlenecks and shitty toolsets that we need to look out for as both reps and management/ops folks.

There is a way to manually subscribe them back in HS for sure but I don't encourage as your data is quite old. As PCB suggested, sending from email client is a better option.
