Am I losing sight of what matters?

I have been an SDR for the last 1.5 months. I am so focused on being the best that I have found my self getting upset when my day is tough and others are performing well. I feel that it makes me motivated to get on the phone and call more.

Should I be feeling this way?

It’s great that it motivates you. Just be aware if others can tell that you are noticeably upset. Being upset is fine, but when others are successful you don’t want to come off negatively.

Most people get less motivated, not more. Good for you. Stay focused and determined, and you’ll be fine.

I think it's good that you feel motivated to hop on calls - shouldn't be any complaints there.
Losing sight of what matters - it's okay to feel this way. But again, you got to understand and accept that there will be a lot of days that won't be fruitful enough for you. You have to accept and let go and work back again the next day, rather than being upset.

It's super easy to get lost in the day to day bullshit. Try to keep your longterm goals visible, and work to discover all the gaps between you and achieving it.
Know that being a great SDR will help you be a great AE!

Just focus on yourself and don't compare yourself. Just see what you did yesterday or last week or last year and do you see improvement?

Competitive mentality will help you win, lean into it. Just be aware of the downside of those emotions and the valleys they can create hindering your productivity.

I started CRUSHING it as an SDR after I stopped comparing my results with others and tried to start outperforming my own numbers.

I like to break it down by the math.

How many calls does it typically take to get a meeting booked? Then aim to make that many dials or more if you want multiple.

Be persistent. Keep pushing!

Keep track/tally your demos every day!

I’ve included an example of how I do it (with one of my favorite weeks I had back in FEB.

GOOD LUCK! 🍀

oof bro, it never goes away - been an SDR for 2 years now and let me tell you, it doesnt get better lol - not trying to put you down just letting you know, you gotta pull through it. This goes for life in general not just sales (says the 21 year old undisciplined sack of shit here) but motivation is very temporal. Discipline is what makes you keep going (cheesier than cheddar but hey thats what I got)
Best of luck in your career

If you're still getting upset, that means (to me) you're properly motivated.
