Anonymous SDR Resume update - thanks for the help

hey savages,


y'all gave me some amazing feedback, so I wanted to share my progress


I tweaked my docs based on feedback from WR and from some friends, added it to my Linktree and featured it on my LinkedIn profile, and started engaging heavily on LinkedIn


In the last two days, I've gotten ~5 inbound messages from people looking for SDRs, and I've also been submitting apps


I've already landed two phone interviews - just gotta schedule them


I still haven't had time to pitch the companies that I'm most interested in (I want to hit repvue soon), but my traction so far has been super encouraging

I think this is looking great! Honestly wouldnโ€™t stress too much about the resume. I helped with recruiting efforts at a few companies and as long as itโ€™s not total garbage, itโ€™s good. No one sits there and digs into every tiny detail. Try connecting with some recruiters if you can and theyโ€™ll help you find something fast!

Yeah Iโ€™m treating it like trying to get a gig. Iโ€™m making lots of noise on LinkedIn, messaging people directly (upgraded to Premium), and Iโ€™m gonna make a video soon, too

Your cover letter needs some work - keep it simple.ย  Everything you state needs to answer the question "What can this guy do for me?"

Glad you cut your resume to just 1 page.ย  No one wants to read your novel-length resume.

You need more bullets on your resume around your accomplishments.ย  Again, you need to answer the question "What can this guy do for me?"ย  And... "Why should I hire/take a risk on this guy?"

I would even consider dropping the most recent Grocery experience and extending out your E-Commerce experience to the Present.ย  ย ย 

Your resume is what you want it to be (within reason).ย  So what do you want to tell them and what do you want to project to them?
