Applied to a Bravado job...

I came across a VP Sales position today, which had been posted 7 hours earlier, on LI which Bravado is recruiting for and thought I would share my experience.

After clicking on Apply on LI's site, I was taken to Bravado's site to the URL included in this post.

After clicking Apply Now, a new tab was opened and was asked "Describe your ideal sales role to a potential employer", which is something we all did when we first joined apparently because I had some words in that box already.

After clicking Next, I was taken to a page which asks me to "Get endorsed by your network" and wants to sync with Gmail. I don't use Gmail (I'm a non-conformist) and clicked the tiny "skip" in the top right corner.

I was than asked to "Connect with top Bravado Members". The list includes folks like Tony Robbins (f-him), Daniel Pink (who?), Corporate Bro (ok, I'd connect with him), and some guy named @sahil (who apparently still wears a mask). I clicked the tiny, faded "skip" in the top right corner and was taken to my Bravado landing page.

No further confirmation that I actually applied to the job. Not even an email. Nor did I ever upload a resume, cover letter, CV, picture of my smoking hot wife, etc. Nothing.

Did I apply? LI says 22 others applied already in the first 7 hours. I don't have high hopes of getting the call, but most of the time there is some sort of confirmation telling me I have a shot at the job.

Has this been anyone else's experience?

So instead of applying for a job it makes you sign up for a profile? That explains the influx of folks that don't know wtf the WR is. 🤔

That was my experience. It claimed it was a job offer and then just created a profile for me and signed me up for this page to hang out with all of you lol. EITHER the UI is so bad that multiple people are making mistakes, or they're using job offers as lead gen for message board participants. Either way, it should be improved IMO.

Indeed. It gets me though that it doesn't ask for a resume, cover letter, etc. I joke above, but in all seriousness my WR profile doesn't provide any real info.

Yeah, I think that is why so many people have been clueless coming in.

Bravado Jobs ( https://bravado.co/jobs/welcome) is a different platform that the anonymous war room.

The first few steps you mentioned (describe your ideal sales role / get endorsed / connect with bravado members) is a part of onboarding someone to the Jobs platform, regardless of them being a WR member or not.

This is done so that there's a good understanding of your profile, goals and your specific expectations from a new role.

When it comes to your application, I'd have to check with someone in the team and get back. Thanks for bringing this is up though, @Pachacuti.

I’m sure mine isn’t a singular experience. It would be nice to get some feedback on it b

Bravado is more focused on harvesting data, servicing itself, rather than actually promoting employment options for their "members". Shell game employment model...where's the nut?
