I interviewed a ton in my last few roles. I swear by this question I got from Trish Bertuzzi:

What's a piece of feedback you've gotten in the past year that was tough to take?

It's like a new take on "biggest weakness" and catches candidates off guard. The ones who answer authentically and talk about how they internalized/grew demonstrate coachability and self-awareness, and - especially in sales - you can obviously see who's a bullshitter/non-self-aware buttmunch.

Some of these questions are awesome and I will definitely be stealing some of them.

I haven't been asked too many questions that were great and stuck with me, but if I get asked to "sell me this pen", I'm done with the interview.

Hah I was asked by the hiring sales manager to sell her a pen, and when I spoke with the CEO next, I said that I was very interested in working for the company, but that I refuse to work underneath a sales manager that asks me to sell a pen when I am interviewing for a SaaS sales role. He was shocked that she asked that, and apologized, then bid me farewell. Byee
