Can the poor quality be covered up and managed? If so, yes. If not, bye.

It can be to an extent. My problem is more aptly described as a lack of options to give clients, there is some good quality, but most of it is mediocre.

I could sell it but I would be looking for a way out the entire time. Have sold stuff before that I didn't stand behind and it just made me feel dirty after each yes.

If I don’t believe in it myself, I will never be able to even if the compensation is reasonable

You shouldn't.
Not only will the sales cycle become extremely annoying, you would not even get the adrenaline anymore. You'd only have guilt and worry because you know you sold a wrong product.

I’ve been having panic attacks for the first time in like 10 years. Chest pain, sleeping poorly, etc. (It’s not my heart don’t worry haha)

Why sell something shitty?!

Did it get shitty? Did you just realize it's shitty? If you just realized, hopefully you haven't been there long and can leave..

We represent different brands. Lost a couple good ones. Some others on chopping block. Came here hoping it would get better than when I arrived and it’s only gotten worse

as much as it's sucked having to sell what i sell now..because our churn rate is outrageous and there are minimal differentiators from our competitors...it's taught me how to sell differently. Lee Salz's book Sales Differentiation was a game changer for me. he says "when your product doesn't differentiate itself, how you sell has to." (not exact quote but you get it)

So: sucks to sell a crappy product, but i think everyone should sell some crap to pick up some additional skills.

Ive done it, and it sucks. ive actually done it twice unfortunately and both times....its just been terrible.

For me, the product has to be good. it doesnt have to be THE best but it HAS to have a major differentiator. or else everything just kinda blows.

I’ve done it before and will not do it again. Why make it harder for yourself when there are good products to sell out there?

I'm sure some people would buy it but they would churn and you'd never displace your competitors. Worked for a company that was just copying the industry leader but being sub-par and no matter how many SQLs I brought in - they never closed... Someone told me great salespeople also need great products because they wouldn't want to sell bad products to their customers.

This can def hurt your credibility as a seller. SV is small, you’ll likely sell to the same folks again at some point
