She was basically coming off a ramp and then Xmas and the holidays. They laid her off yesterday. She didn't have a chance.

Just a shit show of a company unless you're one of the tenured reps.

This is similar to how I went down. Top rep. Closed a ton and they let me go after landing biggest deal in company history. I lit up HR and the little shit snake of a manager I had. The bastard was such a pile he had a 1 on 1 with me to get details on all accounts right before firing me. I told them what piles they were. Basically wanted to avoid paying large commissions. Had no solid reason to let me go.

Same thing happened to me. Except I didn't lay into anyone because I did really like working there (up until getting laid off) and I had hoped to use them as a reference for future job opportunities. They have thus far not actually been helpful as a reference. They also actually laid off everyone on the sales team (and then subsequently leadership gave themselves promotions).

When people show you they are dirty listen to them and their actions. Go out in glory and know they are not your friends and light them up. They did you dirty once. Why would you think they would do you a solid after doing you dirty. F them after they cross you.

I'm with you now for sure. It was the first time in my professional life I had such a thing happen to me. Every job in my life up to that point I left voluntarily (for another job) so I think I was just in total shock.

I got laid off out of the blue during covid as a top performer and they couldn't give me a reason as to why. This is the exact opposite. She just started and hasn't been given a chance and they r cutting her. She called it out correctly. She's easy to get rid of cuz the investment in her so far is minimal. Then can make up her salary and benefits quick.

It’s because they didn’t say her name they just said “employees” and she wanted to get them to give a reason for why SHE specially was let go. Smart legal and HR training may have saved Cloudflare a few weeks.
