Co-worker keeps hitting me up for my accounts

This dude already reached out to one of my accounts (he asked me and I said no) and then booked a meeting with them anyway. He didn't get credit because I showed my manny the receipts but still - it's rude and annoying. He claimed he "forgot".

Now every few days he keeps asking if he can reach out to some of them. He's doing it to my other coworker too. I hate feeling like a tattle tail but I'm on my last nerve.

Is this normal behavior? How would you react?

No, thatโ€™s not normal. Itโ€™s basically d-bag actions.

You basically need to tell him firmly, but professionally, that he needs to focus on his own accounts that have been assigned to him just like you are Focused on yours.

And if he continues, bring it up to your boss/mngr.

I had an old co-worker that did this all of the time. He tried to find loopholes and everything to get around stealing my accounts. little did he know, I had managers access to everything and saw right through his shit.

I was able to get credit on like a large portion of his appts. I still don't know why he wasn't fired though.

First off, congrats on your newborn and welcome back king!

Second - that's incredibly annoying but that's nice they gave you credit for most of them.

I think next time he asks im going to say "go for it - just don't expect any commission since they're in my name"

I mean I would evaluate accounts once or twice a year always, and at they time maybe a switch helps bring new life to a soured account. But never like this, and you certainly donโ€™t go behinds someoneโ€™s back.

Fuck this guy.

whatโ€™s wrong with his accounts??

Continue to say no, and make sure you always get credit if he sets a meeting. Confirm with your manager you will always get credit too.

Seems like you have your own SDR at that point

Claiming "I forgot" is literally the Watergate defense to the point where Sesame Street spoofed it with Cookie Monster.

Well, it might be normal, but it is BS. You need to let him know that he has to prospect and wonโ€™t get paid if he closes your accounts for you.

Yea definitely report to management, that is unacceptable and extremely disrespectful.
Thatโ€™s my terry homie, fuck outta here with that.
Iโ€™d start calling on his accounts too because iโ€™m bitter like that but definitely get it in front of leadership.

How can he forget. It takes hardly sometime to check the account owners and he should know what he must not do ๐Ÿ˜…

At best heโ€™s being a slob and is making the business look foolish. At worst heโ€™s a selfish narcissist and will cost everyone down the road.

Only downside here: does his boss have a perception of him being โ€œhungryโ€ ?

Nope not normal, where I work we have a 45 day policy if an account that was ghosting or like no action taken you can go engange. But those are applicable to accounts that 0 rapport were built and you need to request over a note on hubspot and ccing the manager. Its up to the current person to decide to handover or not.

What they are doing is basically lazy and shady...it seems they are struggling to do basic research to create new leads.
