Commission Reports

Does your company send commish statements to amend any errors prior to payroll being sent. My company has been super lax in this and ive gone with not looking into it, but this check i knew should have been massive and felt lite, caught a discrepancy and am owed big. Im salty and we used to get reports prior now it is 2 days before Direct deposit hits, so cant fix now and have to wait a month to get trued up.

Do you get commission reports? When?

Do you study them like the university of Berkeley Math Dept?

I feel like my whole year should be reviewed now. Ps it was mid 5 figures short. Im salty

Well we have an internal site that is updated on the first, and they give us 2 weeks to email discrepancies we see. Once the statement says FINAL we can't do anything about it.

At the end of the month but it's lax af. It's just confirming appts and the point system. I feel like it gets more difficulty after SDR and moving upward.

Used to get about 1-2 weeks prior to payout. However for us corrections would be applied 2 weeks later on the next check and not a month later with next commission round.

We get it at the start of the month that gets processed by the end of the month, enough time to rectify for any discrepancy

Some places I work out do some dont, the ones that do are the simply commission structures and the ones that dont are complicated
I would schedule time with your manager to talk it through, dont tell them what you were paid, have them tell you what to expect. This leads to them telling you the correct answer, not trying to make sense on why you should be paid less.
if you still have questions, I would schedule time with payroll.

I get them, usually too late to do anything ahead of time, but after a quarter or 2 gets worked out...it's true and I'm only crying a little.

Yowza. Sorry.
I loved getting reports at my previous company. I'd scan them quickly for errors, see if anything jumped out, but mostly trusted the process. Usually issues were around timing; when something was due to be paid out, but occasionally a miss, which I could ask about.
Now we use Xactly and I'm looking at sales vs credits and no idea when those land except after the fact - there's no "due to be paid with x payroll". But it's a small company, so I can just send a quick email if I need to.

I always check my stuff as it goes through the pay out schedule. I just caught one that is going to pay out next week that what about 35% short. I'm getting my money.

Now to give them grace, they are using a new system for payout so it's all good.

Smaller companies I've been at didn't really do this, larger did.
Most had a CRM report that could be run.
This really sucks though

ALways get my commission statement 2.5 weeks before it's run to make sure there aren't any errors.

We have a monthly report, but I always do my own math to ensure no slips.
