Do you pick your outfit based on the type of industry you are meeting with?

Khakis and a polo? Slacks and button-down? Suit no tie? Boat shoes(no socks, dress socks, no-show socks)? Something else I've never even heard of? Don't forget we are in the tree of trust;)

I'm a sucker for company merch. I've got a company branded polo and dress shirt I just rotate between days. The pants are where it's at for me. I'll run jeans for a more laid back, or maybe suit pants if it's a bit more formal.

Patagonia navy blue vest is a must for the outerwear but!

Ok Ok, I like this, especially the vest....Really rounds it out....and by rounds it out I mean covers my gut.

I sell bankers so if I'm on site with them the default is at least a jacket and dress shirt, if not a tie depending on the culture at that particular institution.  Some are pretty chill, but the old guard in the C-suite still dresses up quite a bit

No, I only have one kind of outfit which is fitting my Sales Character.

My character is a mix between me and what I imagine to be the coolest guy in the room. Jeans, Burgundy jacket, boots, fancy shirt.
I work in tech so it is quite open minded. But i would not imagine myself interpreting different characters especially with my face (earing, big beard and long hair).

Once I got the perfect outfit to feel confident I stick to it, It is really hard to be natural in a suit that doesn't represent what you are.

Keep it fresh, but also know if the industry is gonna require nicer stuff or not

Either company-branded golf polo or company-branded t-shirt depending on age/demeanor or person I'm meeting with.

We've been no go on in person and travel since probably June of last year (if I can remember). Honestly, can't really see clients/prospects having "meet up with sales rep" high on their list of things to do after covid though?
