Do you tell customer win stories in cold email outreach?

Disclaimer: I checked the search bar

Email has been our weakest channel. It's a clogged medium and spam filters make it even more difficult to break through.

Other than the obvious things like what makes a good cold email (short, concise, clear CTA).

Do you include customer win stories in your cold emails? How do you go about doing it?

I said 100%, but it's more like providing a bit of social proof versus regaling prospects with a whole story.
You can intrigue them, but keep it short and punchy and make that a longer conversation or a case study they can read.

Yep! "Here's how we helped x company increase value prop by 30%" or similar. Short and sweet.

Well you'd think but links can hurt the outreach with filters and firewalls etc. so just having the text is the best way until you have a back and forth comms.

Yeah, I don't put links or graphics in the first message. Learned that lesson.

It's helpful to name drop if you're working with their competitors or customers, but I use it sparingly.

Yes. Tell them (briefly) about how your solution is saving a similar company time/money and you’d like to share it with them. Drop names, etc.

It's always a value prop when I share a customer success story. Just enough for them to bite

If you decide to do it, keep it brief, and try to leave it as open ended as possible so it prompts response and question on who it is. Then in the follow up email, say you'd be happy to discuss it via phone call as you're under NDA's or something to that affect.

You can. Just no links or you will risk the junk folder.

I try with some short Customer wins such as "X company increased their Y by a Z%" so it is like a "customer Story" but in short words and with real results.

I think it is a good way to call atention
