Favorite prospecting email you have sent

Just for fun, what is your favorite prospecting email you have ever sent?! Doesn't matter if it worked or not, if it was serious or not, just that it sticks out for you.

My favorite one ever is the one they reply to :)

All seriousness - less is more. 8.7 second attention span is all people have when opening an email. Yes that's a number I just made up but feels accurate.

"Hey prospect,

Ran into Harvey Specter this weekend. Referred me your way. Are you still involved in XX projects/decisions/etc for ABC company?"

Best advice. My opening emails are always 2-3 sentences.

"Hey _____,

I'm going to be in your area next week and figured I'd stop by with a little something from my team. Any days/times work best for you?"

my favorite email ive sent i cant even remember what it said. But when i was an SDR there was this like mysterious email that ppl would send out when they would just blast like 1000 prospects at one time and it was said to ALWAYS land 2-3 booked calls.

so every few months we would all copy and paste this email and send it to a billion prospects.....and sure enough....it worked.

now I never tested it in any other format so im sure the law of averages were on my side. but i like to think it was because of the secret author had used their sales magic on this one email.

That's an abysmal hit rate, though.

Getting 2 - 3 hits out of a blast to 1000 is considered one that works?

OUCH.

The one that comes to mind for me was when I was working with one of my reps to try and find a new contact at an organization we had just started working with when our champion and only POC left the organization. We knew we had a fit with the organization but no one would respond to us, and from what we could tell almost no one was opening the email. So, after trying a bunch of other things, we sent a breakup email, one of the more funny ones, you know, the kind since you aren't responding, you must have been eaten by gators, or you are all good. It turns out this contact had actually seen the email while doing an airboat tour in the everglades and the timing of it was just right to get a response.

"<ProspectName>, still looking for an XXX tool?"

This 7-word email on 200 odd archived / lost inbound leads got us 3 meetings.

Here in Brazil, the CyberSec decision-makers are very closed people and they never give us any kind of information in a cold call. So I decided to make a funny approach. This is what it looked like:

Subject: With my picture can you trust me?

{{first_name}}, do you think that the guys that are not answering me, are because they are thinking I'm a hacker trying to map their companies?

(imagine here my selfie holding a paper written "I am XXXX, founder of YYYY. I just want to discuss CyberSec" and holding my ID doc)

Options: 1 - Search my Linkedin profile man, it's real: LinkedIn URL. 2 - We are on Bradesco's Hub, do you really think we are so good as hackers that even Bradesco didn't discover? 3 - I can sign an NDA contract if you want, you can send it with an ID doc, biometric, digital sign, and manuscript one.

A lot of them answered me laughing and before that were very open to discussing solutions and booking meetings hahaha
