Follow Up: Leaving but securing my bonus

OK so after MUCH debate, back and forth, thought, reading WarRoom comments....

I decided to just keep my plans on the DL and then drop the bomb after I get my check.

I had set a meeting with my CRO (my bosses boss) and my original goal was to be super open about wanting to leave and trying to do the right thing ect ect.

WELL, I decided to NOT do that and keep my mouth shut and just do my thing. So I just asked about a more definitive timeline on the check.

I had a HUGE desire to do what I think would be the RIGHT thing.....but ultimately the check is to big to risk so I'm just going to keep my mouth shut until I get it and then blind side the shit out of my team. 😂

BUT thats what the company gets when they are not upfront and transparent.....so suck it.

Besides, the fact it takes 2+ months to pay out is bonkers, <45 days is reasonable. I have a feeling you would do this anyway based on our convos: offer that support as needed during the transition (you likely won't be called once you return but hey, it's a good signal)
