I'm curious if any company has actually done this, but in a lot of job applications, I've noticed that companies will say something along the lines of "we've kept your resume on file, and should there bit a fit for a role in the future, we'll reach back out."

Has any organization actually saved your resume and reached back out to you later directly regarding an opening?

I have had one do this, but it wasn't the right fit for me anymore.

It massively depends on the company but I have had some reach out to me about other roles because I was on file. That is quite rare though.

Very rare, doesn't seem to be common practice just in that this type of file doesn't appear to be kept often.

I feel like this does happen but it's truly rare. Maybe for a smaller company, or if you REALLY impressed them.
